Draft for business review · Updated 23 September 2026. These website and enquiry terms are not a replacement for the written quotation and terms for individual works.
1. About Clearline
This website is operated by Clearline Roofing & Drainage Ltd, company number 17446524, trading as Clearline UK. Our registered office is 66 Paul Street, London, England, United Kingdom, EC2A 4NA. Correspondence, notices and complaints may be sent to this address.
2. Website information and enquiries
This site describes our roofing, exterior and drainage services and allows you to make an enquiry or request an appointment. General information is not a property-specific diagnosis, structural assessment or recommendation to undertake work yourself. Please provide accurate information and tell us if you are acting for the property owner.
Submitting an enquiry, answering qualification questions or choosing a call time does not commit you to paid work. A call booking is not confirmation of a survey visit or an emergency attendance. We will discuss availability, location and the appropriate next step.
3. Surveys and quotations
A survey described as free carries no survey fee for the agreed free service and no obligation to accept subsequent work. We will explain its scope, suitability and access requirements before arranging it. Any separate chargeable investigation must be explained and agreed in advance.
Drone inspections assess visible external areas that can safely and lawfully be viewed; they cannot establish the condition of concealed structures or inspect loft spray foam. CCTV drain inspections depend on accessible pipework and conditions. An inspection may identify the need for further investigation. We will explain relevant limitations and findings.
Quotations set out the proposed work, price and applicable conditions. Where VAT applies, its treatment should be stated clearly. Any validity period, exclusions, deposits, payment stages, guarantees or material specifications must be included in the written quotation or agreed terms. No unquoted additional paid work should proceed without your agreement, except where a separate lawful basis applies.
4. Contracts for work
Any contract for paid work is formed through the written quotation and acceptance process explained to you. These website terms do not replace that agreement or reduce your statutory rights. Before you accept, we will provide the applicable service terms, contact information and cancellation information where required.
5. Access, appointments and safe working
Please tell us about known hazards, restricted access and any permissions needed. Access and the extent of work must be agreed with the person entitled to authorise it. Inspections or works may need to be rescheduled because of unsafe weather, access restrictions or other safety issues; we will communicate any change. We do not guarantee immediate attendance through this website. If there is an immediate danger to people, contact the appropriate emergency service.
6. Cancellation and consumer rights
If you are a consumer entering a qualifying distance or off-premises service contract, you will normally have a 14-day cancellation period starting the day after the contract is made. We will provide the relevant cancellation information and model form before you are bound. To exercise an applicable right, send a clear cancellation statement to the correspondence address above or use the contact method specified in your contract; using the model form is optional.
If you expressly request work to begin during that period, you may have to pay a proportionate amount for services supplied before cancellation, where the legal requirements have been met. A cancellation right is lost after full performance only where the required prior request, consent and acknowledgement have been obtained. A specific exception may apply to a visit you request for urgent repairs or maintenance, but does not automatically cover additional unrelated services or goods.
Nothing here removes your rights where services are not provided with reasonable care and skill or where goods do not meet applicable legal standards. Any cancellation charge outside a statutory cancellation right must be fair, explained and consistent with applicable law; a deposit is not automatically forfeited.
7. Using the website
You may use this site to learn about our services and make genuine enquiries. Do not misuse forms, submit malicious content, attempt unauthorised access, interfere with the site or use it to impersonate another person. Site content and branding belong to their respective owners. You may retain copies for personal reference; commercial reproduction requires permission unless permitted by law.
8. External links and availability
We use third-party booking services and link to external sites, including Trustpilot. Their own terms may apply when you use them. An external link does not guarantee third-party content, uninterrupted availability or a particular review score. We aim to keep our information accurate but may correct errors or update services. A material correction affecting an agreed contract will be discussed with you and does not override your legal rights.
9. Responsibility
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, or anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. These terms do not exclude responsibility for failing to meet statutory consumer obligations. Responsibility for agreed works is governed by the applicable contract and law, not by a blanket website disclaimer.
10. Privacy, complaints and disputes
Our privacy policy explains the proposed handling of personal information. If you are unhappy with a service, contact us with the property address, relevant dates and what you would like resolved. We will review the matter and respond. Any applicable alternative dispute resolution information will be provided as required; this site does not claim membership of an unconfirmed scheme.
These website terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. This does not deprive consumers elsewhere of mandatory protections or rights to bring proceedings in courts available to them under applicable law.
11. Changes
We may update these website terms prospectively. Changes do not retrospectively alter an existing works contract without an appropriate agreement or lawful basis. The version date is shown above.
